Grapes harvest among vine rows: crashing grapes, wine tasting and brunch

It will be a joyful experience: you will experience the grapes harvest, the destemming and crashing processes and the fresh must tasting. You will have an amazing journey through the winemakers world, you will explore the microclimate of the hills. You will have the opportunity to walk through the rows of Federico II vineyard, harvest grapes and collect it in wicker baskets, detach the grapes from the bunches and crush them in a small press. At the end of this fantastic experience you will taste our organic grapes juice. During peak production periods (usually August and September) it is possible to book the grapes crashing with feet in the old zinc tub to experience how it was harvested long time ago. We will stop in the hall of the “baglio” to see tools from the farmer life, then we will arrive to the winemaking area in the cellar to taste a wine from the tub; you will learn all about maceration and fermentation of must. You will see the bottling room and the red wine refinement room full of barrels and barriques. Here you will have the opportunity to tap a red wine from the barrique and taste it. You will have a very tasty brunch in our beautiful terrace or in the wine tasting room at the cellar. We will prepare for you 5 Sicilian specialties: local cheeses, cured meat, veggies from our vegetables house, homemade bread with extra virgin olive oil, delicious citrusy jellies and organic honey. You will also taste two wines full of flavours: a versatile, fresh and savoury white wine, typical from the hilly area and a fruity bouquet character red wine. We will be happy to welcome you to our organic farm and make our green spaces available to you: the wide lawn, the small garden of Mediterranean aromatic plants, secular olive trees road, the organic citrus grove and the animals area.
