Do you know how to harvest one of the most precious spices in the world? Zafferano Colli farm awaits you in its fields to discover the secrets of Oltrepò Pavese saffron. After brief hints on how the flowers are grown and treated, you will participate firsthand in self-harvesting and be shown how the hulling and drying process takes place.
There will be no shortage of tasting time, a breakfast of cookies, honey and saffron hot tea/tea and for those who want a local muscatel.
At the end of the experience you will be provided with a saffron risotto kit: a jar of saffron pistils and local Campo dell'Oste rice.
