Uses and virtues of the wild flora of the Elvo Valley

We will meet at the former Trappa Monastery in Sordevolo, now an Ecomuseum, where we will be welcomed with an herbal tea of local herbs by the School Without Walls, an educational project of the Elvo and Serra Valley Ecomuseum. We will then set out to walk a loop around the site, crossing meadows and woods. Along the way we will pause to recognize and describe the uses of the many essences present, to collect and catalogue them. La Trappa offers the possibility of lunch, with a simple mountain menu and local products from the Slow Food Travel Montagne Biellesi Community (€25), and overnight stay at the facility (half board €45). Depending on the season, weather and interest of the members, it is possible that the experience will be declined in the following ways: - Recognizing and using wild plants in nutrition and phytotherapy. - Steam distillation of essential oils, uses and virtues of essential oils (also doable in rainy weather) - Therapeutic green and forest therapy, everything you need to know to fully enjoy the benefits. It is possible to request the experience in English and French, for homogeneous groups, for an additional fee of 40 euros.
