Sustainability and care for the territory are part of these values and I like to think of transmitting them to guests every day. The farmhouse overlooks an enchanting valley of rolling hills overlapped by small villages and their churches and castles. Three rooms with private bathroom in the 19th century farmhouse, renovated by combining the modernity of systems for the production of renewable energy and underfloor thermal heating, with the beauty of the brick vaults, Roman lime and ancient stones. The farmhouse has been completely renovated using natural and recycled materials, as those who come to visit us will see, we have tried to use many objects bought in antique markets and second-hand shops in the area, to recreate a country setting with rustic style furnishings. At work I use ethics as in life. It is a compass that facilitates my decisions, which helps me choose without hesitation, which is why I privilege local collaborators and suppliers and local raw materials, such as local cheeses, fresh eggs and 0 km fruit. In the laboratory I produce honey, jams, as well as bread, cakes and breakfast biscuits. Cascina Vicentini is also a nursery specialized in the production of ancient and collectible roses. In the large garden, different varieties of ancient roses have been planted, together with shrubs and perennial herbaceous plants, creating a picture of harmonious beauty of colors and scents in the landscape. By visiting the garden or staying in the farmhouse, the enthusiast will be able to choose the specimens of desired potted plants in the attached nursery. Cascina Vicentini offers courses and meetings to those who want to spend a day in the countryside. I have been an Educational Farm accredited by the Piedmont Region since 2017 and organize days and half days dedicated to adults, groups, families and school-age children.
